Engaging with Our Local Community in Shaftesbury
The charity partner for the Shaftesbury branch is Shaftesbury and District Carers Association. The Association's aims are to advance education and preserve and protect the physical and mental health of vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. The group needs funding for their HOPE (Helping Other People Evolve) Drop-In Centre which is a place that supports people with health and wellbeing problems, and is run by volunteers. The project is to provide those who are at least 18 years old and have wellbeing problems with the opportunity to earn computer and other skills.

Southern Co-op has an active role in the local Shaftesbury community by supporting good causes through our Love Your Neighbourhood programme and fundraising for their local charity partnership. If you would like to find out more about our community investment programme, pop into your local funeral home and speak with one of our friendly co-ordinators.
